If you wanted to buy a new home in Las Vegas in December, you'd be paying 13 percent more than you did the year before. That's because the median new home price hit $321,405, according to Home Builders Research, a Las Vegas real estate analysis firm. If you were looking for a bargain, it's too late. That price is the highest new homes have been since the Real Estate Apocalypse started eight years ago.
I've never bought a new home, but I can imagine the joy of opening up the front door of a home you designed your way. I buy resales of people who, IMHO, have the worst taste. New paint, new flooring and new faucets are all requirements. There is $$$ to do that because December's median price of resale homes was just $217,000, according to the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.

We had some issues with the seller of my property and Jake always fought for my best interest and was never afraid to voice my concerns. He is not only a good agent but a man of principal and high moral standards. It was truly a pleasure working with him..."
