Yesterday was the centennial outing of the July Fourth hot dog eating contest at Nathan's Famous on Coney Island. This year's male winner was Joey Chestnut, who downed 70 dogs and buns in 10 minutes, a new world record. The new champion had won eight straight competitions in a row before losing last year to Matt Stonie. Both men are from San Jose, California.
Miki Sudo won the women's division. She ate 38.5 hot dogs in 10 minutes. This is the third straight win for her. And guess where she lives? Las Vegas! Yes, Vegas now has the Pink International Belt.
This is a serious sport. ESPN covered it just like the Super Bowl.
See, there is more to Las Vegas than casinos. We locals love to eat!
Here's a great reward for this horrible election season. If you voted,
"Working with eXp Realty was a pleasure. When we started, we had no idea what we wanted, but our buyer agent helps us figure out the pros and cons of all our options. Our agent went the extra mile willing to put in the extra effort to answer our questions, to make sure we were happy with our decisions, and educated about the market and local area."
